Eric Gentry is chairman of the Giles County Board of Supervisors, as well as a fucking soulless pigman partially in charge of these students' lives.
The ruling is a setback for the Giles County School Board, which had sought a quick end to a lawsuit filed in September over a display of the Ten Commandments in Narrows High School.
An unnamed student at the school contends the school board's vote to allow the framed document on a hallway wall amounts to a governmental endorsement of religion that is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution.

[Mathew Staver of the Christian-based Liberty Counsel] objected to a protective order suggested by the ACLU that would allow the plaintiffs to keep their current pseudonyms of Doe 1 and Doe 2 and allow them to avoid a court appearance by testifying through deposition.
Although the school board's legal team would know the plaintiffs' identity, the ACLU wants a protective order that would bar them from sharing that information with the board.
"Don't you think that might be appropriate when you have the chairman of the board of supervisors calling these people anonymous cowards?" Urbanski asked Staver at one point during two hours of oral arguments in which he peppered both sides with questions. "That didn't just come from a man on the street, that came from a public official."
The judge was referring to a comment made by supervisors Chairman Eric Gentry during a school board public hearing, that Giles County "won't let an anonymous coward tell us how to run our business."

Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) ordered the eviction of a 103 year old woman and her 83 year old daughter. The town's deputies refused to evict them.
Sheriff deputies and movers showed up to 103 year old, Vinia Hall and 83 year old daugther, Vita Lee’s home in Northwest Atlanta to remove them from their home. The movers were hired by the Deutsche Bank who has been in legal battle with the ladies since early this year. The bank is in a giant mortgage fraud by the government and is in lawsuit of $1 billion filed by the Justice Department.

The family told WSB-TV that they have money to pay the Chase Bank for the house loan, but they have had troubles with Chase accepting the payment from them.
When asked about her home, Vinia Hall says, “I love it. It’s a mansion.” She’s going to be turning 104 years old in three weeks and said she just wants to live her last days in the place she’s called home for a little over half a century.

VIDEO: A McDonald's employee who beat two women with a metal rod has all charges dropped, on account of the women being violent ignorant assholes.
"We were begging them to get security," McIntosh told DNAInfo by phone. "The McDonald's itself is a problematic store. It has a high, concentrated number of people every day. In the Village, it's crazy." He said the NYPD refused to staff the store with officers because it was "wasn't in their financial interest."
The incident at the West 3rd Street restaurant began when the cashier questioned a $50 bill one of the women gave him, the video showed, and the women, identified as Denise Darbeau and Rachael Edwards, became angry and started shouting obscenities. The video showed one of them reaching over the counter to slap McIntosh's face, sending him running toward the kitchen area. He then came back with the metal object.
McIntosh told DNAInfo, "From my perspective, I was very scared. It was two against one. When you're faced with that kind of situation…your self-preservation kicks in. You're going to defend yourself. [Darbeau] put me in a situation where I had no choice."
The two women suffered lacerations, and one suffered a fractured skull and a broken arm, according to a DA's office complaint. The women face charges of menacing, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Not content having evicted Occupy Wall Street, NYPD officers arrest costume wearing dorks and steal their lunches.
The protesters, dressed in green and speaking in English accents,--evoking the 13th century 'steal-from-the-rich, give-to-the-poor' Robin Hood-- marched on City Hall Thursday in a joint effort between Occupy Wall Street, Vocal-NY and World AIDS Day organizers.
The activists, joined by a crowd of nearly 200, demanded implementation of a Financial Transaction Tax on Wall Street and a New York State millionaires tax in order to fund the fight against AIDS here in New York (there are 110,000 HIV-positive New Yorkers, more than any other American city) and worldwide.
After the Hoods were arrested for doing a "die-in" at the intersection of Broadway and Park Place and blocking traffic, cops at the seventh precinct allegedly and sadistically ate two large pizzas sent to the activists by some supporters at Housing Works.

A man running for President of the United States of America quoted Pokemon in his failure speech.
Boston child, age seven, kicked a bully in the testicles while being choked. Acting principal Leslie Gant wants that treated as sexual assault.
That Tuesday afternoon, she said, she met her son at his bus stop. As he stepped off, he looked as if he were about to burst into tears.
When she asked him what was wrong, Lynch said, he told her another boy had choked him and taken his new gloves. Lynch said she stormed up to the bus driver and asked him what he saw.
“He just smiled and shrugged," she said. Lynch said she called the school repeatedly but got no answer.
The following Monday, Lynch said, she told her older son, who is 11, to take Mark to the principal’s office and explain what happened.
“I just thought they were going to call the parents, tell us both to come in and make the boys shake hands," Lynch said. At best, she said the other boy would apologize and return her son’s gloves.
Instead, Lynch said, officials kept him inside the office and began questioning him.

“[Gant] said, ‘It doesn’t matter who hit who first,’" Lynch said. “‘He said he hit him in the testicles. That’s assault. That’s sexual assault.’"
“I said: ‘The kid choked my son first and that’s called attempted murder. He said he couldn’t breathe,’" Lynch said.
That day, Lynch said her older son came home from school with a letter from Gant, telling her that Mark had been accused of violating codes of discipline related to sexual harassment and endangering the physical safety of another student.
The school could suspend him or transfer him to another school, the letter stated.
