Thousands of women protested when Michigan State Rep. Lisa Brown (D-West Bloomfield) was banned from speaking on the House Floor for a day after she used the word "vagina" during a debate over anti-abortion bill.

But her colleague, State Rep. Wayne Schmidt (R-Traverse City), said Republican leadership's decision to silence Brown was no different than putting a child in timeout.

Schmidt said "vagina" wasn't the problem.

"It wasn't about body parts, it wasn't about dissent, it wasn't about anyone's religious beliefs," he said. "It was that last comment that took a step too far-- the 'no means no' comment."

That's right, asshole, this isn't about you trying to hijack women's reproductive rights, by pandering to the archaic idea of female hysteria - this was about her going to far by saying 'no means no'.

Burger King taunts animal rights groups with new bacon sundae.

Eager to lure customers to their counters this summer, the fast food chain Burger King is introducing a bacon sundae to its menu.

This crazy soft serve dessert took Nashville, Tenn. by storm earlier this year, where it was first launched.

The sweet and savoury dessert features the rich and creamy vanilla Burger King soft serve ice cream, drizzled with chocolate fudge, caramel and topped with bacon crumbles. The sundae is then completed with a thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon garnish.

The introduction of this limited-time concoction is yet another example of how fast-food chains are trying to stay competitive in today's market.

Doe deserves to be in the NYPD, despite checking the “yes” box next to the question, “Do you believe that homosexuals should be locked up,” in 2009, when he applied, said his lawyer, Jerold Levine.

When Doe — who works as an auxiliary cop in Brooklyn — applied to the Police Academy the next year, he’d softened his views, still believing homosexuality is a sin, but no longer believing gays should be arrested, Levine said.

British Prime Minister David Cameron's office confirmed Monday that he accidentally left his 8-year-old daughter Nancy in a country pub after a family Sunday lunch.

The incident sparked a debate in Britain about Cameron's parenting and comes only a few weeks after the government set up a program to give parents of young children classes in how to raise them. It highlights a sharp contrast with the United States, where Secret Service agents routinely guard and monitor the president's immediate family when they are out in public.
