Eager to lure customers to their counters this summer, the fast food chain Burger King is introducing a bacon sundae to its menu.
This crazy soft serve dessert took Nashville, Tenn. by storm earlier this year, where it was first launched.
The sweet and savoury dessert features the rich and creamy vanilla Burger King soft serve ice cream, drizzled with chocolate fudge, caramel and topped with bacon crumbles. The sundae is then completed with a thick-cut, hardwood smoked bacon garnish.
The introduction of this limited-time concoction is yet another example of how fast-food chains are trying to stay competitive in today's market.
This outrageous treat is affordable, with a suggested retail price of US$2.49. But it also takes a heavy toll on consumer's waistlines. The sundae clocks in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.
