The PCs, along with another officer, were attacked by a man wielding a 12in knife outside Kingsbury Halal Butchers on Kingsbury Road on Saturday morning.
Ch Supt Dalwardin Babu said the PCs, who were stabbed in the stomach, arm and leg, were recovering from their injuries.
A 32-year-old man held on suspicion of attempted murder is still in custody.
The fourth officer, who was slashed and suffered a broken hand, was discharged from hospital on Saturday afternoon.
