Segagapa, 56, is due to be sentenced at the end of January next year.
The woman's ordeal started on the night of July 24 and ended in the morning of July 25 last year. She ran away from Segagapa while he was on his way to kill her.

Segagapa claimed it was the woman who made sexual advances towards him which he initially rejected because he was a "married man".
The woman gave a different account.
She said after 7pm, Segagapa came to fetch her at her friend's house to drop her off at church.
She said all was well until she asked Segagapa to drop her off further away from the church because the pastor frowned upon women who got dropped off in cars at the church.
Segagapa then drove the woman to a public park, demanded she undress and raped her five times.
